Breast Lift surgery, otherwise known as a Mastopexy, is a surgical procedure whereby a cosmetic surgeon restructures breasts that have lost their original shape and appear to have an element of sagging or loss of volume to them. Generally loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding ultimately affect the shape and firmness of your breasts. There are several factors which contribute to wanting a breast lift such as breasts that lack substance or firmness, breasts that are pendulous but of satisfactory size, and nipples and areolas that point downward, especially if they are positioned below the breast crease.
