Is laser surgery a option for me to get rid of scars on my leg caused by surgery?
I shattered my tibia bone a year ago.It resulted in me having scars from a graft and other procedures.
Picture would definitely help. Often, if excessively wide but not hypertrophied, the scarred area can be excised and reclosed to create a thinner scar line.
That being said, the fractional laser treatment, of which you may need more than one, is an excellent way to improve the appearance of scars. If redness is also an issue, then using IPL at settings for hemoglobin absorption (redness) will get that skin back to normal color.
Hope you have found this helpful.
