swelling after surgery  November 30, 2010 10:13 AM

In an emergency, for example if the patient has an on camera appearance, some plastic surgeons may prescribe a short course of steroids. Because of the potential effects on wound healing, this is not typically done. Aside from limiting activities and applying cool compresses, it may be necessary to wait until the swelling subsides.

Oral steroids, Preparation H ointment to lower lids, tea soaks, prayer. Are some answers. From MIAMI Dr. Darryl J. Blinski, 305 598 0091
