,
I am "cockeyed", ie. my eye (sockets?) are significantly out of alignment, on my face.
Apparently, my face is considered quite unattractive.
Rarely have my girlfriends--now distantly past--complimented my facial appearance (other than my blue eyes).
Even my mother, stopped saying I was "cute" when I was six.--Handsome has been out of the question!
She finally came out and proclaimed me "cockeyed", when I was 36.
I am now 56 and time is marching on. Can plastic surgery help?

It is impossible to give a fair assessment without any photos or examination. There are surgeical and nonsurgical techniques available to help with socket asymmetries. Consult an oculoplastic surgeon.
