Sounds like a facial nerve injury. Best to seek in person opinions.

The most important question is how long ago was the facelift?
Facial nerve injry is rare, but can happen, and that issue should have been discussed prior to surgery.
You need to take this issue to the surgeon to explain in detail the reason for the weakness of the orbicularis muscle which is causing her not to be able to close the eye tightly.
Injury to the frntal branch of the facial nerve paralyzes the frontalis muscle and thus one cannot raise the eyebrow.
Most of these nerve injuries are not permanent and can come back after some time.
A second opinion may be needed as well.

eyelid closure problem after facelift  May 21, 2012 2:29 PM

The most important thing to do for now is to keep the affected lubricated. Nerve/muscle injury can take up to a year to recover. It is best to see an oculoplastic surgeon in the meantime.
