Brow lift
I had a brow lift thinking that it was going to take care of my hooding on my eyelids. The doctor talked me out of getting eyelid surgery and said the lift would do the job and I did the surgery and I still have hooding, Im very upset..

No do not be upset with your surgeon, the surgeon was honost.
Brow and upper lid crowding is common. it is prudent upon your surgeon to be careful.
now you can have an upper lid lift under local and the risks are much less

Sorry to hear you are upset. But, it is often difficult to be sure whether brow lift alone will suffice or upper lid needs to be done also. Actually, having had the brow done first is ideal in that once the brow settles it can be much easier to accurately assess how much needs to be done the lid. Your results will be optimal but yes, it will need additional surgery.

eyelid surgery and brow lift  November 12, 2012 12:00 AM

Eyelid surgery can be combined or be done separately with brow lift, so there is no reason to be upset because you can still perform it. See an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation.

The reason Im upset is that I spent over 4000.00 to get rid of the hooding and after the Doctor told me to get The Eyebrow lift instead, I still have hooding and do not have anymore money, so I feel he should remove the extra skin for free.

I just want to know if Doctor's will perform the surgery at an extra cost or do I have to pay for it because he did not do what I wanted to do. I wanted to remove the hooding on my eyes and he said for me to do the eyebrow surgery and I did and I still have hooding, I do not have anymore money to fixt he hooding. I feel he should do it because he told me to do the eyebrow lift...

Brow lift failure  November 12, 2012 9:37 PM

Your case is the classic breakdown of communications, or at least the wrong perception of same. You might have been told that you would need either a brow lift, or upper lid or BOTH ! As is often the case. Pictures would help but if you are going to need the upper lids done then it constitutes a separate surgery. How your PS handles this financially is between you and him/her.

Charges are between you and your doctor!
