Can plastic surgery be done to remove keloid scars?
My son has numerous keloids on back and chest. Surgeon needed radiologist ok to proceed. Radiologist said scars to numerous to proceed(irradiating so many might risk skin cancer). Is there any way surgery can still be done. Injections, laser have not worked.

COMPRESSION GARMENT  November 20, 2008 11:48 PM

NO, NO Surgery is a definite NO. Scars will become WORSE. Never Surgery on cest keloids. If all else failed. I suggest COMPRESSION GARMENTS. It may have to be specially made, with more pressure applied in the keloid areas. It is like a wetsuit with a tight fitting garment that will be worn day and night. I am sure that you can search for them on my web site.
