Is Asian eyelid from DST method reversible?
I had Asian double eyelid done 4 months ago & I'm not happy with the result. If i take the double sutures out, will i get my original eyes back? My doc sounds v confident that i will get my original eyes back, but i did some research online, it doesn't seem to be the case. Has anyone removed their suture eyelids before or can i get some medical advice please? I just want to have my natural eyes back, but i'm worried and confused.

Reversing Asian double eyelid  April 12, 2013 8:16 AM

It is impossible to say. Some eyelids can revert back to original while others won't. It depends how strong the crease is formed with scar tissue.

Thank you Dr Taban, reli appreciate your advice. Will my doc be able to tell how strong the scar is adhering to the crease with an examination?

& if I still want to remove the sutures, & there's scar adhering to the crease, will I get multiple creases becos I have natural smaller double lids? Thx!

Your surgeon should be able to tell but at times, one just doesn't know until remove the suture and see what happens!
