Do I need surgery?

I have always disliked my nose, since I was a little kid. I have always thought it was too long and that it really affected my appearance, but as I've gotten older I've noticed that I have a bump on the top of my nose. It sits in the middle and there is also a lot of extra cartliage on the end of my nose. None of my friends have this situation. I have been slightly overweight my entire life, so I sometimes wonder if that has anything to do with it. However I am not sure since I have never seen this with anybody. Does this have anything to do with surgery or is my nose just sculpted that way?

The best candidates for rhinoplasty are those who are unhappy with their noses, have demonstrable aesthetic findings and seek out a rhinoplasty expert to help them get a nose that better (more)

Being overweight has no bearing on the internal structure of your nose. You're talking about cartilage or bone, depending upon exactly where the bump is. Go get it checked out by a plastic surgeon. No need to be unhappy. I had rhinoplasty. It was really not a big deal. Check it out! Good luck.
