is this normal - or what should I do?
Compression Garment

2 weeks post tumescent lipo with laser on the hips/upper & lower abs/lats area. Swelling has gone down a bit in the lats area however I feel hard lumps in that area under the skin that feel bruisy. Swelling has started to go down on the hips and I have started to see some improvement. However my upper abs seem puffy and squishy, and my lower abs feel hard and I am pooched out like a pot belly. I have been drinking plenty of fluids and started walking a little on the treadmill in the last 2 days and I eat a healthy diet. I am wearing a spanx garment 24 hours a day and doing epsom salt baths every other night. I have a small hand held facial massager that I have started to run over the arm area and lower abs when I am resting at the end of the day as I have heard massage might help. Is this normal - the underarm lumps and the abs? Will my abs start to look better??? I am so bummed because I really feel like my abs/belly look WORSE than they did prior to lipo.

What you are describing sounds pretty normal. I tell my patients that the treated areas will be larger that before we started for the first week then will start a gradual improvement. (more)
