What to do now?

I am 49 and have a 3cm long scar on the side of my neck where a mole was removed when i was 17. Occasionally a hair follicle near there gets infected and it goes a bit red, but a few times in the past its left some red scarring near the original scar and makes it more noticeable. I uses a localised TCA peel in that area of my neck about 5 months ago (about 35%) and it really improved the appearance. There was still a small area of that I decided to re do with TCA (about 35%). It frosted and went dark, but it took 7 days before it began to peel so stupidly i did try to remove the skin which left me with a red mark. I waited 3 weeks and it settled down and I decided to use the TCA again, but less aggressively and not interfere this time. It is now 8 days later and the area is a red- brown colour, a little bit shiny and slightly rough but it seems as though it really will not peel and I certainly dont want to interfere this time. I am wondering if i was a bit conservative when i applied the TCA -was it too weak this time? It did frost but really lightly -more like light frost spots rather than a proper whitening. Im not sure what to do next. Should I just wait, or should I try another TCA but enough to cause a peel? I would appreciate any advice. Many thanks.
