scar after a tummy tuck

hi there
im considering having a tummy tuck to rid my tummy of sretch marks and loose skin and to re join my stomach muscles.

the only thing that im scared of is the extent of the scar, does it have to be as long from past hip to hip or can some women have a shorter scar as my stomach is not to saggy just a little ponch from having 3 children
