right upper lip paralysis after facelift, will it be cured? It's been 5 weeks post surgery. Dr. said it will go away when all the swelling is gone.
Facelift

5 weeks post-op, ridges on both cheeks still present. numbness on both cheecks near my ear still numb. scalp still numb. Was instructed to massage cheeks upward to make cheeks soft. Am I so unreasonable to be dissapointed? anybody had this experience?

Lip paralysis at 5 weeks is not good, you may have some subtle improvement over time but I don't expect that your lip function will return to normal. The other problems should resolve with (more)

Sorry for your postoperative issues. The numbness or sensory nerve injury will improve over the next few months. Massage can help. But the lip paresis could be another story. Best to (more)

Sorry for your problem with your lip. You might have neuropraxia. That might take a while to recover, but it usualy does. The numbness of the cheeks is normal. it will take 3-6 months to (more)
