will nose look wider if nasal bones and maxilla is not placed far enough inward?

I had a saddle nose deformity that was reconstructed using my own rib cargilage for a septo-columellar graft and while my graft is a little too wide in my opinion for my face, it also seems as if the nasal bones and ascending process of the maxilla are extending out too far (in fact on one side the nasal bone is visibly sticking out) would these things add to the wide appearance of the dorsum? can the nasal bones and maxilla be "filed" down? I have already had lateral osteotomies in a previous surgery but it seems like it was not done adequately now that the bones are noticeably protruding out.
