cream that works for perioral dermatisis, im desperate!

hi there

iv had perioral dermatisis for 6 months now and im pretty depressed right now as it just wont go, and i dont know what to use on my face anymore

iv tried metrogel and it did nothing and now my dermatologist wwants to put me on low dose doxcycyline for 8 weeks or so but im reluctant as iv heard it does nothing(and possibly this condition is due to fungal condition like candida so it would be worse) but also cause of the side effects of antibiotics

are there any other creams i could try(except steriods of course)

as i really want this issue resolved i feel so ugly everyday
