2. Ask which major hospitals the doc OPERATES at, not admits to but OPERATES at.
3. Call State Medical Board for qualifications and board status.

Wow...an internist/ER doc did that? Yikes! I feel so sorry for your outcome. It's too bad that it's so hard for the average Joe to know the proper credentials of their doctor. It's even worse, though, that under-trained and unscrupulous docs misrepresent their abilities (or lack thereof) to patients. It's not so much your fault as the doc's.

It's even worse, though, that under-trained and unscrupulous docs misrepresent their abilities (or lack thereof) to patients. It's not so much your fault as the doc's.

It is very unfortunate that patients are taken advantage of in this way. The general public has no idea that there is a difference between a Plastic Surgeon and a Cosmetic Surgeon. I am a Plastic Surgeon and have trained in and perform "cosmetic surgery", also known as "Aesthetic Surgery". Cosmetic Surgeons cannot call themselves Plastic Surgeons because they are not trained in Plastic Surgery. (less)

In my opinion I would not wait 6 months I would offer you lipo in elevated areas and fat transfer in depressed areas. This could be a few operations and the cost tens of thousands. Best of luck. Unfortunately with so many non-Plastic Surgeons performing liposuction these days, I see results like this frequently.
The best thing to do is additional contouring with liposuction for your abdomen as well as for the low back area tom smooth our the areas of lumpiness. You may need to have some fat placed back into your upper buttocks or just additional contouring of the low back and waistline around this area of too much fat removal. Skin tightening of your abdomen is another solution since it appears you have some stretch marks and skin laxity. It is definitely fixable. (less)
