how long does it usually take to see results after knee calf and ankle liposuction?

i had a knee calf and ankle liposuction done 17 days ago.
a day after the surgery i saw a nice difference .
then the swelling started and i cant really see any difference even in the morning when im not really swollen . after the surgery the doctor told me im gonna have skinny legs and that he thinks ill be very happy with the results.
i know that the lower legs swell a lot more than other areas but when will i be able to see a result? is it possible that because of the swelling it looks like i didn't have anything done?
