Cheek Implant & Jaw Liposuction Post-Op Anxiety
cheek implants

Dear Surgeon,

I had cheek implants and jaw lipo 8 days ago, and I am still so swollen that I am unrecognizable. I look like a pumkin. In some places, the swelling is firm, in others it is soft. I've tried icing and Avil, and the swelling has not gone down at all since the surgery. Is my expanded face definitely swelling? How long will it take to go down? My surgeon offered little advice. Thank you!

Eight days is still very soon after your surgery, and it is very early in the healing process. Swelling will still be present at this time. I would recommend speaking with your surgeon (more)

Without in person examination and review of the operative report very hard to advise. Swelling could last for a month, so after 2 weeks still very early. (more)
