It is perfectly normal to have a moment of panic before a surgery. You seem like a smart person who has done a lot of research on Breast Augmentation. There is a lot of info on the internet about problems that may have occurred in some remote cases, but this is not the norm. It took many years for the FDA to approve Breast Implants to be sure that they were absolutely safe. Any surgery will have risks which are acknowledged in the consents you sign. I have performed hundreds of Breast Augmentations in my practice and have never seen a patient become "ill" from implants. If you suffer from an autoimmune disease, you must meet with your treating physician for clearance. You undoubtedly trusted the surgeon when you met him, or you would not have booked the surgery. Meet again, and ask all of your questions. Request a chat with some of his patients. Don't let a case of "cold feet" stop you from a future with beautiful, full breasts that you've wanted for years.
