When Dr. Mauricio performs any surgical procedure such as liposculpture, laser resurfacing or Contour Threadlifts, patients not only get the benefit of Dr. Mauricio's expertise and artistic, meticulous work, but they also enjoy these advantages:

1) All of our surgical procedures are performed in an AAAHC (ACCREDITATION ASSOCIATION FOR AMBULATORY HEALTH CARE) accredited surgical center, the Scripps Ranch Ambulatory Medical and Surgical Center in Escondido. This AAAHC certification is only granted to surgical centers and facilities which meet very strict standards of safety, state-of the art equipment and well trained personnel. Our standards are very high to ensure that we perform all procedures in the safest environment possible. Patients can feel secure and comfortable that they will be well taken care of at our surgical center (see photos).

Performing surgical procedures in an accredited surgical center also allows the capability of giving intravenous "twilight" or general anesthesia depending on patients' preference. Many patients who are anxious about the procedure or about pain involved with any procedure may feel at ease that we have the anesthesia capability to ensure they will be very comfortable from start to finish- at NO additional cost to them. Many physicians perform surgical procedures such as liposculpture and Contour threadlifts in their regular medical offices which have not received accreditation. In this scenario, patients may not have the option to have IV or general anesthesia and have to undergo procedures solely under local anesthesia which may be scary for some patients. Physicians who perform their procedures in accredited surgical centers usually charge patients extra not only for the surgical center fees but for anesthesia fees as well.

2) We are proud to have Dr. James Lee, a Yale and Stanford Medical School graduate and Board Certified Anesthesiologist in our team to provide patients the safest and most comfortable anesthesia services AT NO EXTRA COST. This is an amazing benefit to Dr. Mauricio's patients given that anesthesiologist fees start at $400/hour. Dr. Mauricio's ultimate goal is to offer patients the best possible result. By performing her procedures in an accredited surgical center and with Dr. Lee ensuring patients' comfort and safety, Dr. Mauricio can do just that!
