Awful!, September 8, 2016, 9:01 am
Reviewer: rwoodanom

My eyes and mouth are horribly asymmetrical -- far worse than before I let him operate. Truly a horrible experience leaving me with a face that can't be photographed.

additional scars worse than before, September 12, 2008, 4:18 pm
Reviewer: jackiemobley

I live in CA, did some research and was told about him. He came here (CA)to do the surgery combining vacation with work. I had to pay quite a bit for the center he did the work in on top of the $7,500 to him. I look much worse than before, and he is too far away to do anything. Besides, I wouldn't want him to touch my face again. I did ask for a refund but to no avail of course. The staff was nice on the phone, and his wife is also. She did the follow-up and has a good bedside manner, he doesn't. (Maybe the surgery too, i wouldn't be surprised)

Eyelid Surgery, August 26, 2008, 10:54 am
Reviewer: 99ricky

I have Graves Disease and as a result I had bulging eyes (one was worse then the other)
and lids that were retracted, I
was referred to Dr. Jelks as being the best eye surgeon that could fix my lids and make
me look more normal. The lids now are not at all symmetrical one is straight across while
the other slants up, he did offer to redo this mess but I have not gone back. It took about
2 to 3 months after the surgery for the swelling to go down. I am not happy with the results
my eyes look really bad. The office is really nice and so is the staff.

cheek and lid suspension, July 7, 2008, 8:44 am
Reviewer: SapphireOne9

On a personal level, I liked him, Mrs. Jelks, and the staff. Technically there are worse doctors out there, but I don't think cheek or lid suspensions really work or hold up long - at least not based on my experience. Maybe this is why few doctors do them. After a few months, all I had to show for it was a scar and a lot less money. Revisions due to a problem came at a very high cost.
