Swift Lift, Chin Implant, Eyelid Lift, June 25, 2014, 9:47 am
Reviewer: smerrill67

An excellent experience. I visited Dr. Vincent in 2009 along with two other surgeons in regards to some facial work. At the time, I was 41 years old. I was impressed with Dr. Vincent's honesty about the minimal work he suggested since I was young and my skin was in good shape. The other two surgeons recommended full face lifts at more than twice the cost. After having already consulted with Dr. Vincent, I felt the other two surgeons were simply desperate for the work since the economy had tanked and elective surgery was the last thing most people were spending their money on at the time. Fast forward, 5 years. I have a very important event coming in August that I wanted to look my best for. I called Dr. Vincent's office and although my consultation had been over 5 years ago, they were able to make a consultation that very day. Under my time constraints, Dr. Vincent's office worked around my schedule and scheduled my surgery for two weeks later. I had a swift lift, an eyelid lift and a chin implant. I was extremely nervous and anxious and didn't sleep the night before. When I told this to Dr. Vincent the morning of surgery, Dr. Vincent said he would be "worried if I wasn't anxious and nervous." I stated that I only intended on doing this once in my lifetime and he replied that he is "holding me to that." I really appreciated his view that even though he earns his living as a cosmetic surgeon, he agrees that it to should be used in moderation. The surgery went great. The doctors, nurses and additional staff were great. I felt "great" the night of the surgery when Dr. Mackay called to see how I was doing. On a pain scale for the 3 procedures, the week before I had my cosmetic surgery I had a horrible toothache that I needed a root canal on. I was taking Lortab that didn't touch the tooth pain. Comparatively speaking, the tooth pain was an extreme 10 whereas the entire 3 procedures were no more than a 2 on a pain scale (I only took the prescribed Percocet for 1 day then over the counter Tylenol twice during the week). The eyelid lift burned a little but was relieved with cold ice packs (burning is compared to mild sunscreen in your eyes). The swift lift is basically painless except the incisions which of course are sore. My chin was numb and my neck sore from the chin lift. Talking and eating took a little more effort and I ate softer food with smaller bites. I purchased the recovery vitamins for $100 to take before, during and after surgery as I was told they speed up the healing process and I have to tell you that everyone is amazed from day to day how I heal. I still have some chin and eye bruising and the sides of my face are somewhat numb. I started walking 4 miles on a treadmill 2 days after the surgery. I cannot tell you how much better I feel when I'm finished. It's like my blood gets flowing through my body and I can literally feel the sensation coming back in all parts of my face. Today is my 1 week appointment. I'm anxious to get the stitches out behind my ears and I can't wait for a week or two to see the new me!

Capsular Contracture Removed A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! , April 30, 2014, 3:21 pm
Reviewer: ccrevision

I went to Dr. Vincent for a procedure to fix capsular contracture in my left breast. My sister got her breast augmentation from him about 1 year ago and she had fabulous results. I am from California and went to 6 consultations in California but could not find a doctor that I was comfortable with. I did not want to go to the surgeon that I got my original BA with, so I made the decision to go with Dr. Vincent mainly due to my sis’s great results. I have done tons of research prior to my procedure so I feel that I am a knowledgeable source for an accurate review. With that being said, having research, experience, 6 consults, and a hefty knowledge base I would highly recommend Vincent Surgical Arts. The whole process was extremely easy and convenient. They answered all of my questions pre and post op, and continue to respond promptly to all of my emails and phone calls. The amazing thing is that even with travel expenses included they cost ¼ of any doctor that I could find in California. I was hesitant about the fact that Dr. Vincent is a cosmetic surgeon and not a plastic surgeon (I was dead set on the fact that I would only go to a plastic surgeon), however I think his years of experience far outweigh and surpass the fact that he is not a plastic surgeon. I would rather have an extremely experienced cosmetic surgeon than a new on the scene plastic surgeon any day. Also, since I was from out of town they allowed my sister and I to stay in their on site surgical suite over night after my procedure. If you are considering having anything done I would highly recommend Vincent Surgical Arts!

PROCEDURES: SwiftLift w/ extensions, platysma band correction, Co2 lower lids, and silicone filler.
After 8 years of research and consultation, I decided with Dr. Vincent to correct the aging aspects of my face and neck. In Nov 2013 I had the following procedures: Swift Lift w/ extensions, platysma band correction under chin and center neck, Co2 lower lids, and small amt. of silicone filler to right side of nose. Everything went great! I’m a perfectionist and I told Dr. Vincent that I heard he was also a perfectionist. He replied, ‘I try to be’. So, 5 weeks post op and scrutinizing the individual procedures, all is perfect and then some. Just before surgery I mentioned that one ear was lower by 1/8+ inch then the other, Dr. Vincent said, ‘your right-glad you pointed it out’. Well, the other day I noticed my sunglasses straight across my face, my ears are the same now. One last comment about my ears, I mentioned to Dr. V that my ear lobes are prefect and that I want to keep them that way. There the same -THANKS DOC! My nose correction (called revision) -- A well-known Plastic Surgeon in Ogden UT preformed Rhinoplasty 18 yrs ago but did not do a symmetrical procedure. Dr. V suggested filling the small indention with FDA approved silicone. It turned out perfect. SwiftLift w/ extensions -- The incision behind my ear is all the way where the ear meets the head, I can’t see it. In the front of my ear we decided on the procedure referred to as ‘inside the ear’ incision, which is not actually inside the ear but cuts over (slightly inside) the center lobe portion. Although the center lobe took longer to heal, I’m so glad I was a candidate for this method. 6 weeks post op and you cannot find my incisions. When choosing a surgeon to perform cosmetic procedures be careful running to a plastic surgeon vs. a cosmetic surgeon thinking you’ll get a better job. If your face is ripped off in an auto accident go to a plastic surgeon but if you want artistic improvements to your body be watchful dismissing a skillful cosmetic surgeon. I finally decided on Dr. Vincent to perform my artistic facial surgery for his experience, extensive training in face and neck anatomy, artistic insight to the body, you can tell he loves what he does, and in my research - the price is very good. Just remember, he’ll do his part but half the work in pre and post op will be up to you. Get in shape, buy the Recovery Support Program, follow the instructions, and good luck. Thx again Doc!
