Dr. Menick dismissed me and walked away, January 30, 2012, 11:46 am
Reviewer: Suzan110

I have pain daily. Something inside the nose moved about 6 months after surgery. Dr. Menick placed a graft on the bridge of my nose and it shifted and the suture in the tip came loose. I told Dr. Menick this and he told me that my nose was always like that. I am unable to breathe correctly as confirmed by evaluations from Ent physicinas who state they can see the problem but this is now too complicated for them to attempt to fix. Something in the nose presses on the trigeminal nerve and has casued great pain in my eye. This is an absolute nightmare. There is a constant pulling as the graft shifted to the side. The eye has moved backward and there is a tension like something is caught in the eye area.
The side of the nose has collapsed and touches the inside wall. I have had an opthamologist confirm that the eye has sunken in. I struggle as I have lost hope for this to improve. Dr. Mennick words to me as I attempted to adress the concern with the graft in April 2010. "Ta Ta" as he walked out leaving me sitting there nearly in tears. He was arrogant and his ego will not allow him to address the obvious wrong.

Amazing, October 5, 2011, 1:21 pm

I got a primary rhinoplasty, and there are no words to describe how happy I am with it. This man is AN ARTIST and what he did will change my LIFE.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT listen to those who say menick is not good for aesthetic rhinoplasty because he likes to do reconstruction. Those kinds of things come from people who have not HAD rhinoplasty done from him.

Coming from a patient, I can honestly say he is the BEST. I can finally look people in the eyes without being self concious about my nose!! Dr Menick is AMAZING!!

First of all I would like to say that I am so sick of hearing people say that Dr. Menick may not have an eye for beauty, aesthetics, etc, just because he specializes in reconstructive surgery. The results speak for themselves. I had a primary with Dr. Menick and I could not be happier. I LOVE my nose! He is one of the best and I feel very lucky that I went with him for my surgery. My nose is exactly the way I wanted it and I would recommend him to anyone who is getting a nose job. He is a great guy and a great surgeon and I am absolutely thrilled :)

Consult only with Menick in Tucson, June 21, 2008, 9:26 am
Reviewer: warmblonde

I have a deviated septum and saw Dr. Menick for a consult only. He was completely professional and offered an alternative suggestion to see an ENT specialist that he would recommend. In the exam room there are framed newspaper articles from what appeared to be the 1970's detailing with photos Dr. Menick's charitable surgical work with children in emerging nations. Based upon what I saw, I would recommend him for reconstruction (cancer, accidents, birth defects) only. I think he is an outstanding reconstructionist, but for cosmetic work, iffy to no. I just did not get the impression that cosmetic aesthetic is a crucial part of his mindset. Reason why I think this is because I have seen both cosmetic and cancer dermatologists, and the cancer ones are dismissive of the cosmetic aspect of dermatology and the cosmetic ones - well, I got the impression that that's their area of interest. Imo, Dr. Menick is best for the serious stuff as I mentioned; that is his area of interest. There were no before/after photos for me to look at. No computer analysis either. The magaines in the waiting room were "Arizona Bride" , "House & Garden" and several others that are unmemorable, not having to do with beauty and fashion.
The consult lasted 10 minutes, maybe 15 minutes, but no longer than that. The consult cost is low: $25.00. It was 99 degrees outside.
