(1.30) Worse office and medical staff etiquette I have ever seen!!!, March 24, 2013, 5:31 pm Reviewer: dawngrl The receptionist at this office back in 2006 was rude and down right mean. I had bad reactions to sutures this dr used in my facelift. I had already been to see the doctor and had one removed. I called the office and told the girl that answered the phone I needed an appointment because I had another infected stitch in my face. She said in a very mean voice,"Dr Feagin said he wasn't taking any more stitches out that I would have to take it out myself." I told her I didn't know how to do that and I wanted the doctor to do that. She just said, "Well, I'm sorry. I told my husband to talk to her. I was really mad by now. She told my husband the same thing. I found out later that she meant the dissolvable stitches they use to close you up on the outside. Working for a plastic surgeon she should have asked more questions and handled it better. A year later the doctor had to put me to sleep and reopen my face (just like the original facelift) and dig out the permanent stitches. I was cut in front of my ears and behind them. I came home that same afternoon. The next morning I just happen to look in a mirror at the back of my ears and saw an inch to inch and a half opening that had not been sewn at all. I was so upset. I know no one even attempted to sew that area because there were no holes on either side where a needle was inserted. I went straight to the doctors office and they sewed it up. They tried to say I tore the stitches out. I'm not stupid! I told them that no one had even attempted to sew it up. It was ridiculous! It's March of 2013 and I'm still dealing with skin infections due to the permanent sutures he used under my skin. It's been a nightmare. I never even had a pimple when I was a teenager or any age. Now, I have 2 or 3 infectious bumps on my face at all times. The last time I went to my doctor to see if he could get them out he couldn't find them. After getting shots in my face to numb it. (10.00) Terrific Surgeon!!, February 19, 2007, 3:00 pm Reviewer: notgivingup Dr. Charles Feagin, located in Dothan, Alabama, is a wonderful cosmetic surgeon! He is caring, compassionate, and LISTENS to your desired outcomes for your particular surgery. After he gives you the opportunity to tell him your desires and concerns, he THEN tells you what you can realistically expect AFTER the surgery and what surgery/technique he can/will use to achieve the best results possible. He's a first class cosmetic surgeon and has patients travel to him from across the country. His office staff is friendly, patient, and easily accessible. They have always answered my questions about price details and procedures to the best of their ability, always with my understanding that they are not the professional, they only work for him. I believe Dr. Feagin has the most unusual office hours for a busy plastic surgeon I have ever seen. I've had appointments scheduled for as late as 7:30 in the evening, which is WONDERFUl for those of us who have to work! I believe he only schedules patient appointments for afternoons and early evenings, but I am not positive of this. Dr. Feagin performed a full tummy tuck on me in 1991 and the results are still terrific, in spite of the abuse "I" did to my own body (weight gain and loss repeatedly). He performed a breast reduction/lift, lipo of underarm, stomach, hips, thighs, and fat injections to lip and nasal folds on December 21, 2006. The results are way beyond my expectations, and I am only two months out from the surgery. He told me I would continue to see a difference in my thighs for up to six months after the lipo. I plan on having him perform a thigh reduction/lift on me in June. Dr. Feagin is a terrific surgeon and I highly recommend him. See full review
