I am writing to offer my recommendation of Dr. Robert Wolf in Camp Hill/Harrisburg PA. I recently had a BL/BA and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the outset,Dr. Wolf and his staff were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and patient (I asked a zillion questions). I never felt pressured and Dr. Wolf always answered my questions completely and in a straight forward manner. (I am a lawyer so anyone who can answer a question in a straightforward manner gets points from me.)
I was referred to Dr. Wolf by a friend of mine who I know to be a stickler about things and who would not have recommended him unless she truly was pleased with her results (she had BR and TT). He is a Fellow with the ASPS and can be forund in plasticsurgery.org.
I initially thought I only wanted a BL and went for the consult. I was pleased with the time he spent with me. Driving home, I thought maybe I wanted a BA too. I called the office and an at the end of the day Dr. Wolf returned my call and spent a good 1/2 hour discussing BA options, pros, cons, etc. The fee for my initial consult was applied to my overall surgical fee and I never got another bill for the additional half hour. I received a quote before I left the office the first time. It was good for a year so I had plenty of time to make up my mind. Financing options were available but I didn't check into those so I can't comment on them.
Almost a year later, after much thought, I called the office to scheduled another consult. His office is beautiful and they have great coffee (I mention this because there were questions above about that sort of thing - you definititely feel that you are in an upscale setting). I was given an appointment the following week. Dr. Wolf and his nurse spent a bunch of time with me again discussing both procedures and then left me with a bunch of implants to try on which I could use to pick a size. After I picked the size, we again discussed the pros and cons. Again, no pressure from anyone.
I received a quote which included the price of the surgery center and anesthesiologist. He had different surgery centers available where he could have done the procedure but my schedule demanded that I use Grandview Surgery Center (as an aside, I was really pleased with that facility and the staff there as well).
On the morning of my surgery, the surgical staff was very pleasant as was the anestesiologist. Everyone seemed to be making an effort for me to feel comfortable. Dr Wolf came in and drew his surgery lines on me, reviewed the procedures and asked me if I had any questions.
The surgery went very well (I hear) and I was in the recovery room when I woke up wearing the surgical compression garment Dr. Wolf had brought along for me. Dr. Wolf's office had called in my precriptions the friday before so I didn't need to pick them up on the way home. I was given written instructions (after the verbal ones) and given Dr. WOlf's personal cell phone number if I needed anything. I didn't have the occasion to use it, but I really appreciated knowing that if I had a problem, I wouldn't have to wade through several layers of answering service before I could speak with him. Later that evening, he called to see how I was doing. So did the surgical center for that matter.
I didn't have any external stitches (about which I am very happy) only surgical tape on the outside. I am only six days post surgery at this point but I am incredibly pleased with how small the surgical lines are and the lack of "train tracks" around my incisions.
I had a few questions and needed additional medication in the first few days following my surgery. My questions were answered quickly by the nurse and I was able to have prescriptions called in for my medication.
Onto what is really important. I am so pleased with my results. The only unexpected thing about the whole process is how great the results look already. I was prepared to look a little rougher for a while. My incisions lines are small, I have no outside stitches, minimal bruising, my aureloas (or however you spell nipple in medical terms) are even and have feeling. My chest is still swollen but that is to be expected.
All in all, I can't say enough about how happy I am with the whole experience. I received an incredible value for very reasonable fee charged by Dr. Wolf. If you want to know more about him, he is featured in "NEWBEAUTY" magazine, the Winter-Spring 2008 anniversary issue. I am including a link to my album below because I think pictures really do speak a thousand words.
