MY PERSONAL REVIEW

I chose Dr Maas since he is an ENT and a plastic surgeon. I had to get a septoplasty for my deviated septum and at the same time I had some cosmetic work done on the tip and sides of my nose. First off, the septoplasty with the nasal braces inside the nostrils were intense. I came home after surgery and 6 hours later I vomited from the general anesthesia, plus the fact I hardly ate all day and I could not breathe through my nose because of the internal surgery so I felt like my head was going to burst, literally trying to regurgitate, breathe compiled with a splitting headache was an awful experience. The office did not prepare me for the extreme discomfort the nasal braces were for me after surgery. At any rate, the cosmetic work done by Dr Maas was very subtle and natural. I definitely could see a difference after the first 10 days, but the office said wait a year and that will be what it will look like permanently since the nose and its cartilage takes that much time to settle and heal. After a year I am very satisfied with the results. Of course I somewhat expected more surgery looking results initially but I now realize that what Dr Maas did fit my face and not what I would think of for a nose job that would be a Sharon Stone perfect nose look that may not be suitable for my face, or for that matter impossible to create since my bone structure and bridge are so different. One thing with the cosmetic aspect, I was in a car accident and hit the bridge of my nose 20 years ago, so that was worked on at the time of surgery and after a year, that bump has some scar tissure that has made it slightly pronounced. Dr Maas is doing the revision (a shaving of that area) in his office for only the cost of the room fee at $150. I am very grateful for him doing this at this cost. I expect a perfect for 'my face' nose job and would recommend Dr Maas to anyone interested. PS He is also highly connected with Allergan and is a Botox injectable instructor.
