MY PERSONAL REVIEW

I actually agree with azhotmommie and cant think of anyone else I would ever go to for my cosmetic procedures. I have seen Dr Martin for a couple of procedures and have referred my family and friends. Fortunately, I have the ability to not only vouch for myself, but my friends and family that have been to see Dr. Martin. Obviously, there is value in knowing your surgeon and their background, but the previous reviewer is totally hung on the “plastic surgery board certification” aspect rather than the entire specialty the surgeon practices. According to the American Academy of Plastic Surgeons it seems to state that cosmetic surgeons focus on the esthetic aspect of a surgery, to reshape normal structures of the body and improve the patient’s appearance and self esteem. Cosmetic surgeons also seem to pride themselves in their abilities to have little if any scaring from surgeries. Plastic surgeons may also do this, however it is more common than not they are trained more for the reconstruction aspect from abnormalities, to improve function and to achieve normal appearance. While plastic surgeons also do cosmetic procedures, I don’t see where the purpose of being board certified in plastic surgery automatically overrides a plastic surgeon over a cosmetic surgeon. Also, I did check out Dr Martins training and education, and found it impressive! Good for Dr Martin’s patients, we have twice the education, training, and experience that many other patients don’t have. This is a positive as it probably enables him to be an even better surgeon than others. During my consultation, I was very well informed and had no hesitation in proceeding with my surgeries. I have zero regrets. I feel and look great! Obviously, if patients were not happy with their results from Dr. Martin he wouldn’t have the level of practice he has obtained. If I am going to have elective surgery, I would find a surgeon who is trained, experienced, and educated least of all whose specialty is to make me look the absolute best!
