I wanted a breast augmentation surgery and I chose dr Nancy Van Laeken because with the other well known breast surgeons in town I would have to wait at least 2-3mths for consultation and I didnt want to wait that long. I called around and dr van laeken was the soonest available dr. ( I should've taken that as a clue!! ). I only had to wait 2 weeks for my consultation. I got to my appt. 10 mins before and I had to wait close to 1 hr before the dr could see me. It was horrible. The dr herself was pleasant and I decided to go ahead and book the date for my surgery. Same thing happened, arrived at false creek surgical centre where she performed the surgery, had to wait for more than an hr cos she was behind with other surgery. The after care post op, I had to come back to false creek to get my dressings removed and remove my stiches. Got to false creek, and they said that they called my cell and left me a message that my appt. time was changed to an hr earlier. Told them I never got their message turned out they called the wrong number ( go figure ). So they rescheduled me for another day. I came back and this time the right time and day but I still had to wait for a looong time at the waiting room. When she took off my dressings I could see that my breasts were lopsided the left breast were so low with my nipple pointed upward and my right breasts were so hard and stiffed and very painful to the touch that I thought I had a capsular contracture. She told me to come back in a week so she could monitor my progress. I came back in a week, came back again in 2 weeks, my right breast was finally softened though not as soft as the left one, but they are still lopsided and assymetry because it's so obvious that the left breast is definitely lower than the right one and my nipples are also assymetry. To top everything off, now 1.5 yr later my supposedly dissolvable stitches are still not dissolved yet and I could still see and feel them around my nipples. HORRIBLE!!!.
