MY PERSONAL REVIEW

This radiologist calls himself a plastic surgeon. The frightening thing is he does not do the surgery. He had his girlfriend, or what ever she is to him do the liposuction. She was assisted by his orderly. I only saw Dr. Bittner one time. That was on the day of surgery. He came into the room and while I was standing, he marked on my abdomen. Then he left the room and never returned. There was no monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, heart rate or respirations. There was no IV to provide fluid in order to prevent the occurancea of hypovolemia, and shock. There was no follow-up appointments. When I tried to make a follow-up appointment I was given the complete run around. I was told that they really did not need for me to return to their office, and that if I did, Dr. Bitner was just to busy to see me because of all the surgeries he did. I contacted an attorney when I found out what he had done, and that he had not performed the surgery. However, the attorney told me that Dr. Bittner has fled the country and all of his money has been moved to off shore accounts. The FBI, and the IRS as well as the AMA is investigating this doctor. The attorney told me that because the doctor has left the country, there is no recourse. However, I feel if we all band together, and present our selves to the congress in Washington, we can try to get plastic surgery and those who call themselves plastic surgeons more strictly regulated. We the people not only demand that, we require that this field of medicine needs to be held to the same standards as any surgeon. Just because the insurance companies do not pay for these procedures, these doctors feel they can do anything and that we will not have any recourse. I am not saying all plastic surgeons are in the same catagory as Dr. Alan Bittner, however, there are quite a few of them that seem to have put money before ethical practice. If you agree with me, and you want to try and do something about what we have all suffered under the hands of this man, then please answer this email.
