MY PERSONAL REVIEW

Had my rhinoplasty/chin aug done in 2004. Was VERY excited as I'd wanted to have this done for YEARS and, at age 51, could finally afford to do it. Tami the nurse is GREAT! Had to wait a long time for the doctor. He apologized for being unable to take more time as he was rushed. Turns out it wasn't just that day...it's the practice apparently. At least that's my impression. Long story short, the results are NOT what I hired him to give me. The bridge didn't heal properly and the tip of my nose never changed. EVER. It's not the refined nose I told him I wanted & that we agreed I'd have. In my opinion, he forgot to do the tip and only did the bridge and chin implant. I mentioned in the follow up that the tip wasn't less bulbous. He explained it can take up to 2 years. Told me to be patient. I also made the same complaint to Dr. Stevens who said maybe a shot of cortisone would help. Be patient. A year later...same story. At the 2 year mark, same thing. Stoker said he'd fix it but I'd have to pay $2500.00 again for the facility and another $700.00 for the anesthesiologist. I couldn't afford it. At that point in my life I was also suffering from depression and just didn't have it in me to fight. Now I do but it's too late due statute of limitations. A simple, "I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I'll make it right." would've been perfect. In my opinion, not only did he forget but his ego and greed got in the way. I did my homework before I saw him and thought I'd made a great decision. Since then I've talked to other people about my experience and told them, in my opinion, they should look elsewhere for the work they wanted done. Apparently, being on "Oprah", on "Discovery Health Channel" aren't part of what one should consider when looking for a surgeon. And of course, that's not the only criteria I used.
Needles to say, I was extremely disappointed andI wouldn't recommend Dr. Stoker.
