Procedure(s) I had done:   None

My friend had a procedure done by Dr cooper and I attended one of her post op visits as a request by her. Her pain was so bad she couldn't drive herself and it was the safest for her that I take her.

The office staff was not in my opinion exactly interested in my friends request for me to be present with her and the Doctor. She wanted me present in the room with her as she was in such pain that she wanted me to absorb what the Doctor was telling her because she knew her limits and didn't want to misconscrew what the doctor had to convey about her condition of extreme pain and general condition. A sharp no was the answer right of the get go. Later after my friend insisting that I be there, they came out and got me. I got in the room with her and she was in tears.

The doctor came in and I sensed right away an air of displeasure as if he really didn't want to be there. He treated her like she had ten heads. He talk in general in high tech terms that most people wouldn't understand. I did catch most of it as my friend was the 6th woman I've been through this with but he could've came down to a laymans level to talk to us.

His demeaner was abrupt, better then thou attitude, rude, I'm the Doctor and don't have to listen and don't believe you attitude.

My friend also paid for a pain pump that failed the night of the surgery and he only agreed to refund half the price because one side came out.

I believe this was done because I made a comment that the responsible party should step up and make restitution for same. I thought he was going to become unglued. He got very irate and rude that some one called him on his procedural failure. Then he had the gall to tell her he doesn't prescribe proper pain medication to deal with the pain she was going through. I'm sure if she knew that up front she would not have even considered this Doctor. It's as if every thing was roses until he got the money, then the worm turned.

In general all in all and seeing the extreme pain and anguish this poor girl went through I wouldn't recommend this Doctor for the simplest of procedures.
