This was my most recent message sent to her and her staff

I am requesting my records including surgeon’s notes to be faxed to xxx-xxxx and original mailed to my home address. I am completely unhappy with the services I've received from Dr. Derby and staff and will be going to another surgeon to correct her mistakes. I don't feel that I should have to pay for repair of my CC or the Double Bubble on the other side. Had I not gotten the Capsular Contracture, I’m certain they would both have the double bubble effect. In my research, there are ways to prevent especially the Double bubble look. I feel Dr. Derby didn't take my concerns seriously beginning back to just 4 weeks post op. She didn’t even touch or inspect my breasts after the fact and made a statement that they looked like my breast tissue was falling off the implant. The excuse was that it is still early was simply and excuse and now I need repair. My original request was for Saline through the areola but I asked for Dr. Derbys professional opinion and went with her professional recommendation.
I tried to talk to her at around 6 weeks and she deferred me to her uncaring Nurse. Who by the way, wouldn’t help me when I called on several occasions during the first 2 weeks of recovery. I had tried to explain to her that I was in considerable pain and couldn’t take the hydrocodone because it wasn’t helping. I tried to get more perkaset and she said to just take the hydrocodone or extra strength Tylenol. I ended up having to just suffer because those remedies didn’t work. I actually still have the hydrocodone. In my conversations with her she acted as if I was a bother and didn’t make me feel comfortable talking to her. At that time I started sending e-mails and Dr. Derby refused to talk to me and I was always deferred to the nurse.
I finally got my concerns taken seriously at which time it was too late. The nurse finally got me scheduled to come in at around 12 to 14 weeks, 6 – 8 weeks after calling a couple of times and being stuck talking to the nurse. At that time Dr. Derby saw me for maybe 5 min didn’t touch or inspect them and told me to take vitamin D. The stinking nurse could have said that at my initial call 5-6 weeks post op. By that time it was obviously too late. Then after 4 – 6 weeks on Vitamin E, I’m then put on Singular and again a 5 min visit with no real inspection of the breasts. This has been such a horrible experience!
Dr. received 6500.00 and wants another 2300.00 to fix just the cc and lord knows how much for the other issue. I feel that it is her responsibility to have done the necessary precautions to ensure a job well done, appropriate follow through for the satisfaction of the customer, especially knowing multiple surgeries were planned. I would like my records immediately so I can correct the now painful capsular contracture I live with everyday. I am so angry and upset with the aftercare or should I say lack thereof. If there is some form that needs to be completed in order to receive my records, please fax it or e-mail it so I can get my deformities fixed. So much for Dr. Derby being a cosmetic surgeon, there is no cosmetics about deformities! I plan on contacting the implant provider as well to express my concerns and the Better Business Bureau. I expect a resolve to this matter immediately and give until Monday afternoon before I file my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will also be contacting the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and American Society of Plastic Surgeons Inc.
