I had surgery in 2008 which was a disaster. It took a good two years of waiting, healing and procedure after procedure to correct what was done to me in one procedure. After several consults with other physicians, I decided to trust Dr. McGuire. Believe me, I was really gun shy and I put Dr. McGuire through the wringer before I trusted her. I had to have 800 and 860 cc implants removed from my already 36 DD breasts. I was in an G and I cup post surgery in 2008. I also had a lift done at the same time. The left breast was smaller and the 860 implant collapsed under my arm leaving a bulge and my arm to rub constantly on my skin and the implant never dropped. Since I was going on vacation in two months time and, at my husband's urging, I had the left implant dropped, however I alreay knew I was going to have them removed AND by another surgeon (I looked like I weighed 400 pounds). I saw Dr. McGuire and she agreed to remove the implants for me. I waited another six months for Dr. McGuire to assess my healing process prior to agreeing to reduce my breast volume and to give me another lift because the size of the implants stretched my skin out badly. Another six months or so passed and Dr. McGuire agreed, upon my request, to put the smallest sized implants in to give me clevage that I wanted. She was not enthused and tried to talk me out of getting them, but she did not think they were out of the question. I asked her what size the implants were to be and she showed them to me. I wanted smaller ones, but she mentioned that the smaller ones wouldn't do much for me since I already had plenty of breast tissue and that my chest was wide. She said the smallest implants would do nothing for me. After the surgery I've had a few follow up visits with her and both she and I were extremely happy with the results. She thought the implants added to my features and I thought they were as good as I was ever going to get. Although I wished she could have taken more breast tissue out and kept my size smaller. She did the best she could because of the blood supply due to the first surgery. She only removed about 60 ccs and less on the right due to my lopsided sizing of my natural breasts. I highly recommend Dr. McGuire and her staff. Everyone has been nothing but welcoming, encouraging and extremely patient. I only wished Dr. McGuire did surgery on faces, but she only does body work and mainly breasts because I would trust her completely to restore a congenital defect on my face. She's fast, a great surgeon and a wonderful caring person.
