Hmmm. Where to start. Well I had a child when I was 19 and breast fed for 20 months. It took a serious toll on my breast. I had perfectly shaped size 32 C before, and after my son my breasts were extremely sagging. So I began looking for a surgeon. To my great disappointment, at age 21 I realized I would never be able to afford to fix my breasts. Some years passed and I heard about plastic surgery in Mexico being a fraction of the cost of MD's here in the states. I was afraid to go for a consult because most of the things I heard were about bad results. However,I was so unhappy with my breasts, I was willing to take a chance of having a bad result. I thought pretty much thought it couldn't get any worse. So after about a month of research on plastic surgeons in Tijuana (its only a 15 minute drive from San Diego) I found Dr. Luis Suarez. During the consultation he made me feel very comfortable with his ability to answer my questions. Also, all his diplomas were hanging up etc. He showed my his photo album of patients and I like what I saw but still wasn't sure. After all, it is Mexico. The diplomas could of been false (even here in the states) and for all I knew he was a dentist or something!

Dr. Suarez assured me he could help me and basically I took a leap of faith. The results were outstanding! I wasn't the only one who thought so, I am topless dancer and get constant compliments on them. People even thought they were fake they looked so good!

Ok, the weird part of my visit. The office is in the ghetto, but most of Tijuana is ugly so I wasn't exactly expecting the Mayo clinic. The office itself was clean and well decorated. I give it a 8 (out of 10) for neatness. The preop room is a bit odd because it was in the middle of the summer and the AC wasn't on and the window was open. That scared the crap out of me. I'm used to freezing in hospitals. But I specifically remember the warm wind blowing the curtains around in the room while I waited. Dr. Suarez came in and talked to me, took some photos and made is pre surgery markings on my breasts. My procedure took almost 3 hours. I woke up, hung out in recovery for a bit, my friend went to the pharmacy while I was in surgery so we could just leave when I woke up. I waited in the line to get back over the border, that took about an hour in the car. I felt a little sore but not unbearable at all. I highly recommend this doctor but it is not for the faint of heart. You ARE in a country that is not regulated like ours and have little or no legal recourse should something bad happens. But if you feel like you MUST have this surgery and would like to pay 35% less of what you would here in the states, then go. I have since had another breast surgery (augmentation) and am returning to Dr. Luis so he can revise a scar from that surgery.

Good luck with your search!
