This 'Doctor' has almost ruined my life. In 2009, at the age of 27, I consulted with him about slight wrinkles and hollowness around my eyes. He recommomended I have a blepharoplasty. This has been the worst mistake I have made in my life.

About 2 weeks after the blepharoplasty I developed huge round eyes because of eyelid retraction/scleral show. I did some research and discovered that Dr Lorenzo had done an invasive transcutaneous blepharoplasty - this techique was abandoned by most US surgeons more than 20 years ago in favor of less aggressive options like fillers, botox, transconjunctival blepharoplasty and other less-risky procedures.

Dr Lorenzo made me look freakish and I was suicidal.
Out of desparation, I visited Dr Yaremchuk in Boston because it seemed that he was one of the best surgeons to do the kind of reconstruction that I needed. Dr Yaremchuk did a canthopexy, midface lift and infraorbital implants. It hardly did anything to help my round eyes and I still looked freakish.

About a year later I visited an oculoplastic surgeon called Dr Kenneth Steinsapir in LA for more reconstructive surgery. He did another midface lift and put in bigger orbital rim implants and a hard palate graft.

Finally I feel that most of the repair work has been done. My eyes are not perfect, but they are now a more familiar shape and I don't feel that I look 'freakish'.

I have sent letters and emails to Dr Lorenzo but never recieved a reply.

He should feel ashamed of himself. The emotional pain that he has put me through cannot be expressed in words.

Lastly, the costs of the reconstructions, airfares to the US, accomodation etc: I calculated I've spent over US $66,000 because of Dr Lorenzo's botch job.

This has been the worst nightmare in my life. Please, please DON'T LET DR LORENZO TOUCH YOUR EYES. He is not competent at doing surgery of he eyes, and he will not be interested in helping you out if you have an issue post-surgery.

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SURGEON. He almost drove me to suicide.
