MY PERSONAL REVIEW |
Dr. Cook literally ruined my life. I had a rhinoplasty with him several years ago after I was in an accident and broke my nose. I never wanted to look different. I wanted him to repair the damage done to my nose and straighten it. I even brought him a picture of myself taken before the accident so he knew what my nose looked like. All I can say is he destroyed my nose both aesthetically and functionally. The surgery was supposed to take 2 hours and ended up taking over 5 1/2 hours with no explanation to my frantic family. After it was over, I had a pig nose, uneven nostrils, and a bump on my nose that was not there previously. Friends and familiy were horrified when they saw me. People were literally stopping me on the street and asking me what happened to me. This is not an exaggeration. As if that wasn't bad enough, he did nothing to fix my deviated septum. Every time I contacted him or went to see him he told me it was "swelling" I was seeing (even 2 years later)! He insisted my nose looked great, and blew me off. I was eventually able to have a revision surgery 3 years which did improve the appearance of my nose somewhat. However, Cook did so much damage to my nose and removed so much cartilage that there was only so much that could be done. My real problem today - which stems from his work - is that I cannot breathe at all. My septum is so deviated that I am 95% blocked. I can barely breathe and suffer daily. Almost every doctor I have seen - plastic surgeons and ENTs - are afraid to touch me because they fear a perforation. Reputable doctors I saw after Cook's rhinoplasty were appalled at his work, and asked me who did it, and flat out told me he did a bad job. This was shocking to me since doctors don't typically criticize each other.
This man has no idea what he is doing. If I can help even one person I will sleep better at night. He calls himself an expert plastic surgeon, but he specializes in no particular area. A master of everything is a master of nothing. Stay away from him! |
