MY PERSONAL REVIEW

Dr. Barry M. Zide's bizarre medical journal writings have recently been made available to the public. I suggest that anyone considering having treatment by Dr. Zide pay a visit to their nearest medical school library and read them. Meet the real Dr. Barry M. Zide, the person behind the internet facade. In "Tales of Greed" he cries poor, gives a list of his practice expenses, and even confesses that he had to tell his office manager, Susan, that he wouldn't have money to put into the employee retirement account. He blames his slow business on plastic surgeons who "overcharge"--"Wall Street Wannabes" he calls them. He calls them "sociopaths" and calls for the Office of Professional Conduct and insurance companies to take action against them. In "What You Can Do Is Not What They Want" he tells about his studying unscrupulous and deceptive sales methods. He read "How To Close Every Sale," "How to Become a Rainmaker," "Secret Powers of Persuasion," and to take a class on the subject of selling. He describes his system to "convince or maybe slightly persuade" people to have surgery. He recommends not telling patients too much about how the surgery is done, and not to tell them the risks unless they ask, until the surgery is "definitely booked." He even confesses that he teaches his residents (he is a professor at NYU) to forge their own "Top Doctor" or "Best Doctor" plaques, because "patients tend to believe these." (And this is after he tells us that he know the "Best" doctor titles are a scam.) In "Four Patients You Love to Hate" he describes another of his systems "HISS," his "Hate and Intolerance System of Scoring" to "categorize and control" plastic surgery patients. In "Why I Love My Practice So Much!" he describe situations in his practice that call for seriousness, concern and careful handling, but that he responds to with and psychopathic cool and complete lack of concern. He ends each experience by taking a nap. Dr. Barry M. Zide is a shyster doctor. His reviews say that he is "amazing!!!" but what is most amazing about him is that he still has his license to practice medicine, and that he hasn't been thrown in jail. Do your research. Patient reviews, positive or negative, are for the most part unverified, but Dr. Zide's own writings cannot be denied. A plastic surgeon who writes the things Dr. Barry Zide writes cannot be all the wonderful things his so-called positive reviews say that he is.
