MY PERSONAL REVIEW

DO NOT go to Dr. Howard Nam. This guy is a HACK. I went in for a chin augmentation almost 10 years ago, and am still suffering from the repurcussions. I had researched for months before I decided to get a chin augmentation. Two weeks before the surgery, I told him EXACTLY what implant size and shape I wanted. I had specifically requested one that was 3 inches in length and placed in FRONT of my chin. I followed up every week before the day of surgery to confirm that the implant was available. I was assured everything would be smooth sailing. On the day of surgery, he assured me that the chin was ready. Then, as I was undergoing general anesthethia and was being put under, I recall him telling me that he didn't have the implant. The last I remember was me begging him NOT to proceed with ANY surgery unless my 3" implant was available. Next thing I know, I'm waking up with a bandage on my chin. He had the audacity to perform UNWANTED, UNCONSENSUAL surgery on me! Further, he picked any RANDOM chin implant he had on hand. The chin was no more than 1/2" long and he inserted it at the BASE (NOT FRONT, as I had wanted) of my chin. The incision was much longer, and the scar (again, after almost 10 years) is still raised and unsightly. It is so ugly that I lie to my friends and say I had a skateboarding accident in my teens. After he messed up on my chin, he got angry and indignant at ME and said that I never told him to stop. He YELLED at me and never acknowledged that he was at fault. The surgery made ZERO change in my pre-op appearance. The only change is that after 10 years later, my entire chin area is slightly discolored AND the incision area is STILL tender and stiff. Beware - this guy is not only unprofessional, he is an A$$HOLE.
