Hello everybody. I have a badly deviated septum. I will need surgery for that and I would like to at the same time do some cosmetic enhancements to my nose. Can someone recommend a good doctor in New York City.
Thanks. Michael.

I was actually thinking of consulting with Dr. Morello. How much did the procedure cost?
Also, did your rhinosplasty come close to the computer imaging that he is offering?
Thanks alot.

posted by: JENNANY | | Posted Tue, Dec 6 at 2:09 PM PST | Hi Paulany, the rhinoplasty was 6500 plus operating room/anesthesiologist the total came to around $8600... I found other doctors for a little cheaper but this isnt something you go 'cheap' on. The anesthesiologist, Michael Levin, was great, Dr Morello said he's worked with him for years!!! The staff was friendly & reassuring.
My 'after' came out BETTER than the imaging! He said it would, I'm soo happy with the results. :) Good luck to you! Let me know who you decide to go with...

posted by: Paulany | | Posted Thu, Dec 8 at 8:07 AM PST | Hi Jennany,
Your pictures came out beautful!! I actually saw them lastweek and did not realize you were the same person that I was writing too. I will make and appointment with Dr. Morello, Dr. Lesesne and I have an appointment with Dr. Blau in White Plains. I actually asked one of my cousins who know's alot about surgery and she mentioned Dr. Dolish in the Bronx.
I have a deviated septum diagnosed from my MRI so I do not feel that I should pay the anesthesia and the septum correction. Hopefully, that will take some of the costs away. You are right you do not want to go cheap but if you can save on the OR and the Anesthesia that would be a great help.
Also, how long was the packing in and how were you feeling the first few days?
Thanks again for any information!! You look great and I cannot wait to get it done too!! |

posted by: mwmnyc | | Posted Mon, Dec 5 at 8:15 PM PST | | I just had a deviated septum repaired by Dr. John Siebert in NYC 5 weeks ago. I'm very happy. In addition to improving my breathing considerably, he did a great job refining the shape of my nose. He's an NYU guy and only relies on word of mouth for his practice. My dermatologist referred me to him. He's on the upper east side - 50 E. 71st St - just east of Madison. |

posted by: BooBanan | | Posted Tue, Dec 6 at 1:41 AM PST | I recommend a dr right outside of NYC..His name is Dr. Joseph Fodero in Livingston NJ. Awesome PS, very conscientious, excellent communication and surgical skill. I had my primary rhinoplasty done with him. He also did liposuction on my neck. I am thin but a double chin. He encourages follow ups every month and his office staff is professional and helpful all the way. I highly recommend him! ! ! He did a great job on my nose. My first surgery was mainly bone work. He reduced the width of my nose by 2/3 and removed my hump. He didn't do anything drastic to my tip. As time went by and the swelling went down, he was understanding that I was not totally happy with the outcome and it still appeared too big. I also had an asymetry before my primary that became more obvious after my recovery because my nose is more defined now. I could totally live with these results. He really did a great job the first time. But, since I am not 100% happy, he has no problem doing my revision at no charge. He was very conservative the first time and my nose is natural looking. I am just one of those people that wants to have the smallest nose possible. He also did my friend's breast implants and they came out great! She's very happy with her results. You may want to travel to No. NJ to have a consult with him. I think the trip would be worth it. |
