Product Description & Benefits: The Bath Chair is specially designed to be placed in a shower or bath and provide a patient with the maximum safety and comfort while bathing. Following many cosmetic procedures, you can be tired, low on energy, and drowsy due to the anesthesia and pain medications in your system and the general physical trauma of surgery. Standing in the shower in this state may be dangerous and can expose you to the possibility of slipping and falling. The last thing that you want to happen is offset the cosmetic work that you just had done. Instead of standing and endangering your safety, having a seat in your shower (or bath) is the most healing-friendly path to take. Having this kind of comfort when you shower is a great tried-and tested tip that veterans recommend to practice for a week or sometime afterwards until your energy level is restored to normal and you are no longer on pain medications. The bath chair is adjustable and has suction cup tips.

Beyond safety, the chair will also make your showering experience more comfortable and make the task of soaping up your body easier. With a bath chair, you will not need to bend over much to reach harder to reach spots. For many cosmetic procedures, it is advised not to bend down below the level of the heart because this action can worsen swelling and bruising and expose you to a hematoma. Additionally, a bath chair will also allow you to clean all parts of your body easily without twisting around and turning your head unnecessarily. This is a valuable benefit to patients having facial cosmetic procedures, as twisting and turning one's head excessively can worsen your symptoms. Further, if you are comfortable in letting your caregiver wash and/or rinse you off (which quite a good number of patients do), sitting on the chair will be more convenient and make your caregiver's job easier. Your caregiver will not have to reach any long distances to wash the appropriate spots.

Beyond using the chair during your recovery, this product is a great addition to your everyday life and can be used for more comfort, safety, and to have better balance while showering.

Other Bath Safety Accessories: To minimize the risk of your slipping or falling while showering during post-op, it is recommended to place a Rubber Bath Mat in the shower or bath.

Instructions For Use: You may place the bath chair in your shower or bathtub before the surgery to have it ready for the recovery period. You should test and adjust the chair to the most convenient position. Additionally, you should make sure that the suction cups stick to the floor or tub. If you are already in the recovery period, you may ask a caregiver to set the chair for you. The chair can be a vital addition during the first few days. For added safety, it is recommended to use the bath chair for the entire duration of the first week until your energy level is restored, or at least until you are of from your pain medications.

It is recommended to purchase the chair before the procedure to have enough time to try it out, make adjustments, and properly place it in the shower. If you have not placed the chair in the shower or bath before your surgery, you should ask another person for help. For many cosmetic procedures, it is not recommended to lift anything (including a bath chair) until 3-4 weeks post-op.
