As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the garment for various activities. Once beyond the first few days of post-op and you are no longer required to wear the garment continuously, you may wear the garment on a non-continuous basis (for a certain number of hours a day) until 1-2 weeks post-op (or longer depending on the doctor). It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
