Instructions For Use: The front hook & eye closures should be separated and the shoulder straps should be loosened. Slide your arms through the opening between the shoulder strap and the bolero, but do not tighten the shoulder straps. You should now be able to close the front hook & eye adjustments, starting at the bottom closure and working up. You can now adjust the shoulder straps to the desired comfort. You can loosen or tighten the bolero by adjusting the front hook & eye closures. Please repeat the above steps to put the bolero back on.
The bolero is typically worn immediately after the surgery for a period of time that may range from days to weeks, depending on the doctor's instructions. During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this bolero constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the bolero for various activities. The garment is worn like a bra/vest would underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size: Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.
Garment Care: Your garment can be hand washed. The garment should be washed in cold water and air/line-dried. Washing your garment in hot water or drying with an electric or gas dryer may ruin the garment. To remove any stains, the garment can be soaked in 2 or 3 gallons of cool water with 1/4 cup of peroxide added. After the garment has soaked, it can be hand washed and air/line-dried.
Important Healthy Tip: Due to long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 garments. Having two garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.
