FDA approved for the treatment of mild to moderate acne, Tända Clear is a 414nm blue LED treatment that is scientifically proven to kill the ropionibacterium acnes (P.acnes) bacteria that causes mild to moderate acne. Used as part of a daily skin care routine, Tända Clear will help cure existing blemishes and prevent future outbreaks in patients with mild to moderate acne. Non-ultra violet light in the 400-430 nanometer (nm) range is a highly effective tool for eliminating the P.acnes bacteria naturally without costly side effects. Blue light energy has a phototoxic effect on the P.acnes bacteria. When exposed to blue light energy within the 400-430nm range, the bacteria self destructs, effectively removing the cause of an inflammatory response. This is confined to the bacteria, thus having no direct effect on the surrounding tissue, making it an effective and non-invasive alternative to other anti-acne remedies.
