Product Description & Benefits: Offering quality at a value-oriented price, the Sigvaris Unisex Value Care Compression Pantyhose (closed toe) are constructed in a recovery two-way stretch knit that molds to the leg shape and always returns to its original shape while not worn. These panty hose provide medical graduated compression, effectiveness, durability and comfort.
This pantyhose garment is recommended for conditions such as leg/ankle pain and discomfort, leg/ankle swelling (edema), chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), post sclerotherapy, postphlebitic syndrome, severe varicosities, stasis dermatitis, venous ulcers, for improving comfort during long distance travel, and for people who are standing and sitting for long hours. These pantyhose help promote better blood flow and circulation and relieve aching legs due to reduced circulation and long periods of standing and sitting. In addition to reducing leg pain and discomfort, this graduated compression stocking garment also helps reduce leg swelling (edema) by lessening the build-up of fluids in the leg. The panty hose support and compress veins, which helps get your blood moving up the legs and back to the heart for better blood circulation. Further, these pantyhose are medically effective as a compression therapy for post-sclerotherapy therapy to help prevent the reappearance of spider veins and varicose veins. 20-30 mmHg, 82% nylon/18% spandex. 30-40 mmHg, 74% nylon/26% spandex.
Compression Levels: This compression stocking garment is available in 20-30 mmHg and 30-40 mmHg compression levels.
Instructions For Use: It is recommended to put your garment on dry skin and to put the garment on right when you first get up from bed when swelling is minimal. You should remove your jewelry, rings, and watches before applying your garment to avoid damaging it. You may want to wear rubber or vinyl gloves such as Sigvaris Rubber Gloves to prevent fingernails from damaging the fabric or avoid pressing your fingernails into the stitching. To pull up the garment, place your thumbs inside and gather the fabric, then place your foot in the garment and adjust the knee and toe areas. Gently pull up the garment, keeping the garment as straight as possible. Avoid rolling, twisting or overstretching the fabric. If you usually apply moisturizer to your legs or arms, it is better to moisturize the skin in the evening rather than just before putting on your garment in the morning. Remove your garment before going to bed.

Garment Care: Proper care will increase the life of your garment. You can hand wash or machine wash your garment with warm water and mild soap or detergent. The Easy Care Kit sold in our Store includes a bottle washing solution made especially for this type of garment, a pair of rubber gloves for handling the garment, and a laundry bag. Daily washing can extend the life of the garment. Avoid chlorine bleach, fabric softeners, or products such as Woolite. If you’re using a laundry machine, placing the garment in a mesh laundry bag will help protect it while it is in the machine. To rinse off, you may use warm water. You may roll the garment in a towel to remove excess moisture and lay the garment flat or hang to dry. However, you should not wring or twist the garment. While dryers are not recommended, if you must use a dryer then the garment could be dried on a delicate setting or low heat. Avoid ironing or dry cleaning the garment.
Garment Life: : The garment is usually replaced every 3-6 months depending on how often you are wearing the garment and how you are caring for it. Typically, if your garment becomes easy to put on, it likely needs to be replaced.
Important Healthy Tips: As you may need to wear your garment everyday and/or frequently, it is a good idea to purchase 2 garments. Having two garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed. When you wear this garment for the first time, you may notice that it is very tight. You may want to wear your garment gradually (or as directed by your physician), such as a few hours the first day and then gradually increasing the number of hours you wear the garment each day until it feels comfortable for you to wear the garment throughout the day. Wearing your garment consistently - everyday and/or frequently - is necessary for a variety of health conditions, as it is a therapy for a condition that you may be treating. For certain conditions, not wearing your garment might actually worsen the condition.
