Product Description & Benefits: Made from soft breathable cotton with 3/4 inch length compression arm sleeves, built-in seamless cotton knit bra, abdominal inner panel providing targeted abdominal compression, front zipper with cotton guard tape, and cotton-lined crotch with adjustable hook and eye closure, the High Back Below Knee Plastic Surgery Bodysuit w/Bra & Armsleeves (w/Zipper)-Stage One is ideal for a patient having multiple procedures. Stage One is worn immediately following surgery for the first 1-2 weeks of post-op before the Stage Two garment becomes necessary. The Stage One garment is made to be less tight and bigger than the Stage Two due to your having more swelling during the initial recovery. The garment provides compression in the abdomen, flank, back, breast, arms, buttock, hip, thigh, knee, and calf area and is appropriate for a liposuction, tummy tuck, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, arm, and lower body procedures. This garment improves blood circulation, minimizes swelling after the procedure, flushes the body out of potentially harmful fluids, accelerates the healing process, keeps the implants in their correct position, and allows the patient to return to daily routines sooner. This compression garment also provides support to surgical areas for more comfort and helps the skin fit better to its new contours. Further, this garment can also help prevent a patient from experiencing some "throbbing" sensations after surgery. The garment may also help reduce the tension on newly formed scars and prevent them from stretching. Applicable for Liposuction (Abdomen, Flank, Back, Buttock, Hip, Thigh, Breast, Arm), Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), Breast Augmentation (Breast Implants, Transaxillary Submuscular Breast Augmentation, Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation), Breast Lift (Mastopexy), Breast Reduction, Breast Reconstruction, Latisimus Dorsi procedure, Mastectomy, TRAM Flap Procedure, Arm Lift, Arm Reduction, Brachioplasty, Upper & Lower Body Procedures, Lower Body Lift, Thigh Lift (Thighplasty), Post Gastric bypass surgery, Bariatric/Obesity surgery, Stomach stapling procedure.
This 100% latex and formaldehyde free garment is based on a gradient compression technology design and is made of a breathable powernet fabric that conforms to the body shape, includes a soft cotton bra, inner panels in key surgical areas, reinforced flat seams to avoid showing through clothing, reinforced open crotch, and gripper lace on the leg to prevent rolling-up.
Instructions For Use: The garment is typically worn immediately after the surgery and continuously during the first 1-2 weeks of post-op (depending on the doctor's instructions) before switching to a Stage Two garment. During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this garment constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to go to the bathroom or to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the garment for various activities. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
If the zipper becomes snagged, please do not attempt to force the zipper in any direction. If the zipper does become snagged, please take the garment off (to reduce any tension on the zipper) and gently work the zipper until it moves freely again. Assume a seated position in a chair or on a bed and unzip all zippers completely (if the garment has two zippers on the sides, please un-zip both zippers). While seated, step your legs into the garment and slide it up to your knees and/or thighs. While remaining seated, you should now be able to gently position the garment into place on your upper body. Standing up very slowly and using the chair or bed to provide support, pull the garment fully into place, making sure the crotch opening is correctly positioned. If you do not feel comfortable standing up, please lie on your back to apply the garment. If the garment has shoulder straps, they can be positioned and fastened at this point. Please fasten the hook and eye closures on one side of the garment and then slowly pull the zipper closed. When one side of the garment has been zipped closed, you can now secure the hook and eye closures on the other side. Please note that this side will be more difficult to close. If you have someone assisting you, please ask them to help you with this second side. The hook and eye closures should be fastened and the zipper should be slowly pulled closed.
Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size: Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.
Garment Care: Your garment can be hand washed. The garment should be washed in cold water and air/line-dried. Washing your garment in hot water or drying with an electric or gas dryer may ruin the garment. To remove any stains, the garment can be soaked in 2 or 3 gallons of cool water with 1/4 cup of peroxide added. After the garment has soaked, it can be hand washed and air/line-dried.
Important Healthy Tip: Due to long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 garments. Having two garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.
