Product Description & Benefits: Made of a strong, lightweight 100% latex free powernet fabric and lycra, the Dorsocervical/Lipodystrophy (Buffalo Hump Removal) Male Garment is a compression vest that features adjustable Velcro bands for targeted compression of the dorsocervical (buffalo hump) and upper back area, targeted back inner panel, and adjustable front hook and eye closures that make application of the garment and adjustment easy. A 2" stabilizing band around the bottom of the garment keeps the garment comfortably in the correct position. This garment is appropriate for dorsocervical and upper back liposuction, buffalo hump removal (lipodystrophy), upper arm liposuction, and arm lift.
Instructions For Use: The front hook & eye closures should be separated. Slide your arms through the arm sleeves. You should now close the front hook & eye adjustments, starting at the bottom closure and working up. You can now adjust the Velcro bands to the desired comfort. You can loosen or tighten the vest by adjusting the front hook & eye closures.
The vest is typically worn immediately after the surgery for a period of time that may range from days, weeks, and longer, depending on the doctor's instructions. During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this vest constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the vest for various activities. The garment is worn like a vest would underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size: Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.
Garment Care: You may machine wash the garment in cold water only (with like colors), as washing in hot water can ruin the garment. You may also wash the garment by hand in cold water. To remove any stains, the garment can be soaked in 2 or 3 gallons of cool water with 1/4 cup of peroxide added. After the garment has soaked, it can be hand washed and air/line-dried. Garment should not be dried with an electric or gas dryer, as this may ruin the garment.
Important Healthy Tip: Due to long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 garments. Having two garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.
Applicable Procedures: Dorsocervical Liposuction, Upper back liposuction, Buffalo hump removal (lipodystrophy).
