Instructions For Use:
Silicone Sheet Instructions: First wash your scars and hands. Open the non-sterile pouch containing the Biodermis silicone gel sheet. Remove both sides of the plastic film covering the gel sheet prior to use. The gel sheet may be cut into smaller pieces using scissors or a scalpel. Please wash your scissors or other cutting material prior to applying it on the sheet. Once you have determined the appropriate size of sheeting to use, apply the tacky side to the scar. The gel sheeting should fully cover the scar and extend inch all the way around the scar border. The exposed surface of the gel sheeting may be covered with surgical tape or bandage to help hold in place and to prevent sticking to other surfaces. Silicone gel sheeting is not intended for use on open wounds.
The optimal wearing time for Biodermis Silicone Gel Sheeting is 24 hours per day for a period of 8-12 weeks. Many patients report continued improvement to the scar beyond the 12-week period. If it is not possible to wear the gel sheet for the recommended 24 hour period, it is recommended to wear the sheet for a minimum of 12 hours per day. Follow this procedure each day, washing and re-applying the gel sheet (according to the silicone sheeting care instructions discussed here) to the scar for 2 to 4 weeks. At that time the piece of gel sheeting will begin to lose its adhesive quality and/or may become embedded with surface dirt. When this occurs, discard the piece of gel sheeting and apply a new piece. You may safely wear the products beyond the 12-week period as long as you follow the instructions. When the scar stops responding for a continued period of 7-10 days, you have probably reached the point of maximum results and should discontinue using the product.
Multivitamin Kit Instructions:
Pre-Op Formula: The Pre-Operative formula can be taken anywhere from 1-2 weeks before the surgery. The Pre-Operative Formula can also be beneficial if started several days prior to the procedure. The last packet should be consumed the day before surgery. Take the entire contents of one packet with a meal daily 14 days prior to surgery or one packet twice daily with a meal 7 days (or closer to the surgery) prior to the surgery, or as directed by your physician. Each packet contains 1 Multivitamin/Mineral tablet, 1 light tan Ester-C capsule, and 1 white Zinc Chelate tablet.
Post-Op Formula: The Post-Operative formula can be started the day after surgery (beginning 24 hours post-op) or several days following surgery for a period of 30 days. If you are unable to begin taking the Post-Operative Formula for several days after surgery, you should begin as soon as you are comfortable swallowing the pills. Take the entire contents of one packet twice daily with meals, or as directed by your physician. Each packet contains 1 Multivitamin/Mineral tablet, 2 bright yellow Quercetin/Bromelain Complex tablets, 2 white L-Arginine capsules, and 1 white L-Glutamine capsule.
Compress Instructions For Use:
Cold Therapy: Place your compress flat in refrigerator of freezer for several hours, (initial cooling of the compress takes approximately one hour). Adjust to comfort by placing an 4 x 4 gauze, thin clean cloth or paper towel between compress and the skin if necessary. For moist cold applications, wet the cloth or gauze, squeeze out excess moisture and place on the affected area. It is recommended to apply the compress for 15-20 minutes (or as directed by your doctor), and then off the affected area for 40-45 minutes (or as directed by your doctor). For better results, return your compress to the refrigerator or freezer after every use. The Cold/Hot pack can be reapplied after being cooled again. For continued relief, carry on cold therapy treatments for 72 hours after surgery or as directed by your doctor. When stored in the refrigerator or freezer, do not place any heavy objects on top of your compress.
Hot Therapy: Different methods can be used to heat the compress, from boiling water and hot tap water. Before applying the compress on the affected area, be sure to test the compress by touching it to make sure that it is not too hot. Microwaving the compress is not recommended, as it can damage your compress and voids the manufacturer warranty.
BOILING WATER: If you use boiling water, bring water to a boil in a pan. Then, turn stove fire off and take the pan off the stove. Immerse the compress in boiled water for one minute. Make sure that you do not immerse the compress in the pan until the pan itself is removed from the stove. For moist heat, you may place a wet 4 x 4" gauze between the compress and the affected area. For dry heat, you may wipe the excess water from the compress with a clean cloth or paper towel and place the compress over the affected area.
HOT TAP WATER: If you wish to use hot tap water, run hot tap water until it reaches its hottest temperature, and fill a container with hot water. Soak the compress for three to four minutes and apply over the affected area.
Once the compress is hot, you may apply it for 15-20 minutes (or as directed by your doctor), and then off the affected area for 40-45 minutes (or as directed by your doctor). Between hot therapy treatments, store the compress at room temperature. The compress will re-warm in 2-3 minutes.
SinEcch Instructions: SinEcch contains 12 capsules and comes with a blister card on which the information about when to take each dose is printed. The dosage regimen is Arnica 1M for the first three doses and Arnica 12C for the next 9 doses. SinEcch should be taken 3 times daily for 4 days starting on the day of surgery. For best results, do not eat or drink for 15 minutes before or after taking this homeopathic remedy. Ingesting food 15 minutes before or after you take the pill will diminish the effectiveness of Arnica Montana.
Applicable Procedures: Breast Reduction, Breast Lift (Matopexy), Breast Augmentation, Breast Implants, Transaxillary Submuscular Breast Augmentation, Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, Breast Lift (Matopexy), Breast Reconstruction, Laser-Assisted Breast Reduction.
Biodermis Breast Surgery Scar Reduction Silicone Sheets (Pair) (Self-Adhesive) (Qty: 1 Pair): (doesn't include the Areola circle) This silicone sheet helps reduce the scar size, thickness, height, and color of all types of scars, including new and old scars, post-surgery scars, keloids, hypertrophic scars, and other scar types caused by injury, trauma, and burns. By flattening, softening, smoothing, and blending the scar with surrounding healthy skin, these soft, breathable silicone sheets helps make the scar far less noticeable. Silicone sheets are easier and more convenient to apply than scar gels because they are non-greasy, provide direct beneficial pressure to the scar, and do not stick to clothes. The Biodermis silicone sheets have received U.S. FDA and European C.E. clearance and are made of a soft, breathable, non-invasive, permeable, TNT (tacky one side only), semi-occlusive material and are clinically proven to be both safe and effective as a method to reduce the appearance of scars.
Scar Sheet Tape & Washing Solution (Qty: 1): Includes hypoallergenic tape that is used to hold and secure the scar sheet in place and ensure that it does not roll off under clothing or come off due to humidity. Additionally, this kit also includes a gentle, fragrance-free, low foaming cleanser that is used to wash the scar sheet and also to cleanse the scar area that you are treating.
Make Me Heal Plastic Surgery Healing Multinutrient Kit w/Bromelain (Pre & Post-Op Formulas) (Qty: 1): This kit has been designed specifically to help patients accelerate healing and obtain better cosmetic results following plastic surgery (as well as general surgeries) by providing all the vital healing supplements, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids that have been shown to be vital for preparing the body for surgery and for helping one have a faster recovery. Taken in tablet/pill form starting anywhere from 1-2 weeks pre-op or several days before the surgery up until 30 days post-op, the Multinutrient Kit helps build and maximize your bodys tissue reserves of nutrients that are important for the healing process, helps speed up recovery by strengthening the bodys natural healing process, helping reduce swelling and bruising, supporting wound healing, promoting repair and growth of tissues damaged by surgery, and by protecting the body from infection by enhancing the immune system defenses.
Cold & Hot Breast Compress (Qty: 1 pair) The breast-shaped compress comes as a pair and may be used on the breast for both cold and hot therapy to help in reducing post-operative swelling and bruising. The immediate application of cold therapy is beneficial for reducing post-operative swelling by constricting the capillary vessels and slowing down the flow of blood and other fluids to the injured or operated area. Patients also benefit from cold therapy's anesthetic effect on the nerves, which helps reduce the sensation of pain and provides a soothing, refreshing, and relaxing feeling to the injured or operated area. Further, cold therapy reduces the risk of hematoma formation. Because cold therapy helps to restore strength, mobility and range of motion more quickly, patients may reduce their hospital stay, heal faster and feel better sooner. Hot therapy is beneficial in reducing post-operative bruising by helping break down bruising discolorations (i.e. black, blue, purple, green, gray, yellow and other discolorations). Hot therapy can also help increase comfort and relaxation for sore, achy skin and muscle tissues that have been operated on. This reusable Cold/Hot Breast Compress provides hours of relief. With simple freezer storage between uses, this reusable breast compress can be applied again and again.
SinEcch (Qty: 1): SinEcch is the only natural Arnica Montana homeopathic remedy on the market that has been clinically proven in research studies to reduce post-operative bruising and swelling. By using SinEcch right before and after a surgery, a patient can minimize bruising and swelling, have less pain and discomfort, accelerate the healing process, and shorten recovery time. SinEcch is naturally prepared from the herb Arnica Montana, which grows in the Swiss Alps. Arnica has been used for hundreds of years by doctors to reduce bruising and swelling after traumatic injuries. The FDA regulates the manufacture of all homeopathic medicines and has determined that homeopathic Arnica is so safe that it can be safely sold without a prescription.
