Stage 1 & 2 Garments: A Stage Two garment that goes with this Stage One garment is available and can be found at: ContourMD Mid Calf Compression Girdle w/2 inch Waist (Open Crotch & Zipper) - Stage 1 (1-MC2P). Doctors may recommend that patients wear compression garments during both Stage One (initial 1-2 weeks of post-op) and Stage Two (2-8 weeks post-op) of recovery. For this reason, a Stage Two garment may be recommended. By having both the Stage One and Stage Two garments, the patient has the advantage of having continuous compression, which is essential for obtaining the best results during the recovery phase and for having the greatest degree of comfort. The Stage 1 Garment offers less compression and is sized a bit bigger (and it may have side zippers for convenience needed after surgery) due to the patient's immediate swelling following surgery. Once the swelling subsides, a patient may wear a Stage Two Garment that offers greater compression and sized smaller than the Stage 1 Garment being that the patient's discomfort has lessened and the patient can handle more compression on the treated area(s).

Instructions for Use
The garment is typically worn for 1-2 weeks post-op or longer, depending on the doctor's instructions) of post-surgery recovery. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The compression garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
Medical professionals recommend cleaning your compression garment with a product called Variance because it promotes a longer fabric life and maintains your gamrment’s compressive ability.
Order Two Garments For Hygiene And Optimal Comfort.
For maximum wearing time, which promotes optimal healing conditions, you should have a second garment to wear while the other is being washed.
