Product Description & Benefits:
Made from a strong, breathable and lightweight compression fabric that feels good next to the skin, the Women's Body Brief & Support Breast Surgery Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stage 2 is a two piece garment that is especially designed for patients having any combination of the following procedures at the same time:
-
Breast Augmentation
-
Liposuction
-
Tummy Tuck
-
Breast Lift
Secured by a Velcro strips that keep the upper and lower body garments in place, this garment provides compression in the breast, upper and lower abdomen, and flanks. Typically worn during 2-8 weeks post-surgery or longer (as needed), the combo kit helps improve blood circulation, minimizes swelling after the procedure, flushes the body out of potentially harmful fluids, accelerates the healing process, and allows the patient to return to daily routines sooner. The brief is necessary to provide support to surgical areas for more comfort and helps the skin fit better to its new contours. This Second Stage compression garment does not have zippers. The bra may also help reduce the tension on newly formed scars and prevent them from stretching. Further, this combination kit can help prevent a patient from experiencing some "throbbing" sensations after surgery.Appropriate for Breast Augmentation (Breast Implants, Transaxillary Submuscular Breast Augmentation, Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation), Breast Lift (Mastopexy), Breast Reduction, Breast Reconstruction, Liposuction (Upper and Lower Abdomen, Flank), Plastic surgery procedures following Gastric Bypass Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Stomach Stapling, Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty).
This elegant garment features a special open crotch design that opens when seated and then closes when standing for less visible underclothing and no assistance required while going to the bathroom. Moreover, the combo garment is 100% latex free and made of pattern designs that target maximum support and compression. The breast augmentation support bra is made with built-in adjustable implant stabilizers that provide light to medium downward and side pressure that helps position the implants properly, stabilize the implant, keep it in its correct position, and prevent the implant from rising up. The bra features quick and easy adjustable shoulder straps and adjustable hook and eye front closure. In addition to being designed for skin retracting and body shaping, this garment is made to be particularly comfortable for long-term wear.
Additional Benefits Of The Two-Piece Garment Kit:
This two-piece kit offers the flexibility needed to get the best fit along with just the right levels of compression necessary for each surgical site. The two-piece kit features an adjustable Velcro strip that keeps upper and lower body garments in place. Aesthetically, the two-piece garment looks like one piece but functionally, it works and heals like two. Wearing a one-piece garment is not practical, as putting it on can be uncomfortable due to post-operative discomfort. One-piece garments are harder to put on and take off, require considerable flexibility that you may not have right after surgery, and do not fit as well as two separate garments. Most importantly, one-piece garments cannot provide the varying levels of compression required by different surgical sites.
Introducing Newly Engineered Fabric:
Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combo Compression Garment - Stage 2 (2 Piece) features a new fabric that offers more durable compression performance with an enhanced, four-way stretch for a better fit and a true "second skin" feel. The silky smooth fabric makes it easier to slip on and off. The fabric is remarkably lightweight and breathable, yet fiercely strong and durable. The fabric provides the compression control you need to optimize circulation and enhance healing, while giving you the "feel good" comfort that patients demand.
Obtain The Best Results By Also Getting The First Stage Combination Kit: To enjoy the best healing, obtain the best results, and maximize the benefits of compression therapy, it is recommended to wear a first stage garment right after the surgery. The First Stage garment that goes with the above second stage garment can be found at:
Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stage 1 (2 Piece)
Doctors often recommend that patients wear compression garments during both the First Stage (initial 1-2 weeks of post-op) and Second Stage (2-8 weeks post-op) of recovery. For this reason, a second stage garment is often recommended. Second stage garments are sized smaller than the first stage garment and offer more compression since the patient is less swollen and can tolerate a higher level of compression in the surgical areas.
Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stage 2 - is part of a great recovery kit called the Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stages One & Two - (4 Piece Garment) that includes the Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stage 1 and the Women's Body Brief & Support Bra (w/Stabilizers) Combination Garment Kit - Stage 2 . By having this Recovery Kit, the patient has the advantage of having continuous compression, which is essential for obtaining the best results during the recovery phase and having the greatest degree of comfort.
Instructions For Use:
Secure the two garments in place with adjustable Velcro. The garment is typically worn immediately after the surgery and continuously for several days (or longer depending on the doctor's instructions). During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this garment constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to go to the bathroom or to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the garment for various activities. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size:
Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.
Garment Care:
You may machine wash the garment in cold water only (with like colors), as washing in hot water can ruin the garment. You may also wash the garment by hand in cold water. For drying, tumble dry, low heat or allow the garment to be air/line-dried.
Important Healthy Tip:
Due to heavy drainage and long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 Stage One garments. Having two sets of garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.
