Marena Everyday Shapewear: If you like this surgical garment, once you are healed check out Marena Everyday Shapewear, which can give you a slimmer, shapelier figure in your day to day life.

Product Description & Benefits:

The Female Upper & Lower Abdominal Plastic Surgery Brief - Stage Two Garment provides additional compression and support during Stage Two (2-8 weeks post-op) of recovery. Worn once your Stage One garment (worn during initial 1-2 weeks of post-op) is no longer appropriate, this Stage Two garment also helps improve blood circulation, minimizes any swelling that remains, accelerates the healing process, and allows the patient to return to daily routines sooner. This compression garment also provides support to surgical areas for more comfort and helps the skin fit better to it new contours. In addition to being designed for skin retracting and body shaping, this garment is made to be particularly comfortable for long-term wear. Appropriate for Liposuction (Lower abdomen), Tummy Tuck.

This garment features a 100% latex-free fabric that offers enhanced support and more durable compression performance. The garment’s silky and soft fabric is stretchable to make it easier to slip on and off, yet fiercely strong and durable. The fabric is remarkably lightweight and breathable to keep you clean, dry and fresh all day long. The fabric provides the compression control you need to optimize circulation and enhance healing, while giving you the “feel good” comfort that patients demand. This garment doesn’t have zippers.

Stage One Garment: A Stage One garment that goes with this Stage Two garment is available and can be found at: Female Abdominal Brief (W/Zipper)- Stage One. Doctors may recommend that patients wear compression garments during both Stage One (initial 1-2 weeks of post-op) and Stage Two (2-8 weeks post-op) of recovery. For this reason, a Stage Two garment may be recommended. By having both the Stage One and Stage Two garments, the patient has the advantage of having continuous compression, which is essential for obtaining the best results during the recovery phase and for having the greatest degree of comfort.

Instructions For Use: Assume a seated position in a chair or on a bed with the garment next to you. While seated, step your legs into the garment and slide it up to your knees and/or thighs. While remaining seated, you should now be able to gently position the garment into place on your upper body. Standing up very slowly and using the chair or bed to provide support, pull the garment fully into place, making sure the crotch opening is correctly positioned. If you do not feel comfortable standing up, please lie on your back to apply the garment. If you have someone to assist you, they can help with the positioning of the garment. Once the garment is positioned, the shoulder straps should be fastened and adjusted.

The garment is typically worn during Stage Two (2-8 weeks or longer, depending on the doctor’s instructions) of post-surgery recovery. The Stage Two garment is worn once your Stage One garment (first 1-2 weeks of post-op) is no longer appropriate. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The compression garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.

Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size: Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.

Garment Care: Your garment can be hand washed. The garment should be washed in cold water and air/line-dried. Washing your garment in hot water or drying with an electric or gas dryer may ruin the garment. To remove any stains, the garment can be soaked in 2 or 3 gallons of cool water with 1/4 cup of peroxide added. After the garment has soaked, it can be hand washed and air/line-dried.

Important Healthy Tip: Due to long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 garments. Having two garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.

Applicable Procedures: Liposuction (Lower abdomen), Tummy Tuck.

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? Doesn't compress

Very Nice Girdle!
By brubel, March 15, 2013

What are the benefits/plusses of this product? Comfortable, fairly easy to put on; no girdle bulging

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? None

Review: This fits well (the size chart is accurate) and does what it's supposed to do while it is comfortable to wear at the same time. I usually hate putting on girdles but this one is great and seems to be well made.

What are the benefits/plusses of this product? Only affects the needed compression area and easy to put on and take off.

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? Causes rash around hooks and bunches down in the back.

Review: This product is alright. It only hits the needed area, but the hook area digging in around the groin area caused a rash. The back also bunches down.

What are the benefits/plusses of this product? Easy to get on, easy to care for

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? No straps, binding at waist

What are the benefits/plusses of this product? Very comfortable.

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? Hooks in crouch area sometimes feel tight and ride up

Review: This garment is extremely comfortable. The material is soft and the band on top keeps it up but does not get uncomfortable. You can wear this garment for a long period of time without discomfort. Great product!

What are the disadvantages/minuses of this product? Not enough compression especially in the tummy area.
